In the year 2015, I was interviewing global leaders regarding the greatest challenges facing their country. One leader from Cairo, Egypt, said their greatest challenge wasn’t ISIS, it was young people leaving the church. Joshua Crossman from the Pinetops Foundation wrote a stirring research report which forecasted that unless something changes in the American landscape, fifty percent of all churches in the United States will close by 2050.
Michel Faulkner brings his unique perspective to the conversation as a former NFL football player, an inner-city youth pastor and lead pastor in Manhattan, and a trusted thought leader regarding the next generation. He has been Vice President at two Christian Universities. His insights in this book give an important perspective on the current challenges facing the next generation. Michel also sees important signs of hope.
